Rotarian of the Month
August Rotarian Hero of the Month: Amy Keltner
The newest member of this club, I have been here just a few short months. When I began my new career as the Community Development Director of Jones Regional Medical Center back in April, I was invited by Vic Hamre, Debbie Hardersen, and Jay Willems. With each of them presenting the rotary in such a positive light, I was excited to agree to join in on the fun!
Born and raised in the community my husband, Keith, and I graduated from the same Anamosa Community Schools class though we never really spoke to each other until a few years later. Coming upon our 14 year wedding anniversary now, we have two children Brooklyn (12) and Dylan (9) in the Anamosa Community Schools district. The kids keep us running with dance, volleyball, football, baseball and whatever else they can get themselves into! When we’re not running kids, we also enjoy stock car racing and fishing as a family.
As a previous volunteer coordinator for United Way of East Central Iowa, volunteerism has been a passion of mine for the last almost decade. I especially love engaging our youth in the community as they are the future of volunteerism. Rotary Club of Anamosa plays right into that passion with their motto “Service Above Self”. I look forward to learning more about this club and engaging myself with service opportunities!
